As some of you know, my brain is wired for play and goofiness. I love having quirky photoshoots with Neil (my husband) which are a little bit….different. The most recent photoshoot was all Neil’s idea. Neil is funny, supportive, and equally as playful as I am (but a little more secretly). This shoot involved us rollerblading around the parking lot of Michaels Frozen Custard in Madison. Kat, who is our friend and my associate photographer, took the pics. We were eating giant melting waffle cones- blue moon for him and chocolate for me. We were wearing matching fuzzy crop-tops, cut-off shorts, and neckerchiefs. The neckerchiefs were actually baby bibs from the dollar store, but we rocked them by adding a bobby pin to the back so that’d fit around our necks. Both pairs of shorts were actually in my kids’ garbage. I wore my daughter’s too-small-for-me rollerblades and Neil wore our friend’s rollerblades that were AT LEAST 3 sizes too big for him. It was 95 degrees that day. Clearly Blue Moon ice cream was the better choice for photo purposes (good call Neil).
BEST MOMENT- we were resting on the side of the building and an ICE CREAM TRUCK went through the ice cream DRIVE THRU. It was amazing and unexpected and…different. The photo serves as proof.
Thanks to Kat for being weird enough to hang out with, encourage, and take pics of us.
I love you Neil- thanks for not only putting up with my quirkiness but for 100% next-leveling our weird photoshoots.
If you’re looking for just 2 or 3 more photos that are still comical but definitely not child appropriate, head over to my boudoir site for the blog there!
