ADVENTURE BABES WENT TO COSTA RICA, AND IT WAS THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME!
This was the 3rd Adventure Babes trip, and it was FANTASTIC (the first one was to Isle Royale National Park, and the second was to the Amazon Rainforest in Peru- that blog is still in the works!). Traveling to Costa Rica was exciting, beautiful, and filled with camaraderie. There were 10 of us on this trip- a lovely round number. Some old friends, some new friends- all wonderful women seeking connection and adventure.
We were based in the lush forests of the Osa Peninsula, in the southern part of Costa Rica. The Osa Peninsula is a paradise with incredible biodiversity and stunning natural beauty. We stayed at a palatial indoor/outdoor ecolodge in a tree frog sanctuary (!). We could see the ocean from the house and all the walls were screens so that we could hear and see monkeys (so many monkeys!) and other wildlife.- it was incredible and so special. We spent our days by the ocean, swimming, exploring, spotting animals like monkeys, dolphins, sloths, and birds, and being in awe of how many common US houseplants were huge and wild there! We snorkeled, went on a dolphin viewing excursion, hiked, swam in waterfalls, swam in the rain in the ocean, had a cooking class to learn to make traditional Costa Rican tamales, and much more. There was a lot of light-hearted fun, connection, and adventure!
Pura Vida!
One of the fun things I try to do each trip is a playful, quirky photoshoot of the babes. I brought a few colorful pieces of clothing for everyone to rock in their own unique way.
